Our philosophy, focused on product and process innovation, permitted Nuova Connavi to become a qualified supplier and a strategic partner for world class manufacturer, for both civil and defence compartment.
Nuova Connavi produces and assemblies anti-blast shields for Alenia Oto Melara missile launchers, naval 76/62 and 127/54 gun shields in both normal and stealth version, special spare parts glassfiber boxes, anti-blast FRP fuel tanks.
For Alenia Meccanica Bresciana we’re producing 40/70 shields, 30mm thick shields end special spare parts containers.
Our spare parts PRVF boxes are the only suitable to be used by Marina Militare Italiana arsenal in La Spezia on their naval vessels.
We also manufactured for Marina Militare PRVF C8 port entrance stanchions, non magnetic signal buoys and FRP naval structures.
Cantieri Navali Beconcini uses our FRP parts for motor yachts and sailing boats.
Nuova Connavi, in co-operation with ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and the Environment), designed and realised a vertical axes wind turbine for research purposes.
Nuova Connavi ongoing research in advanced technology has made possible the achievement of a new third generation composite material, recently patented: EPREG U 52.

In this specific field the project of building an Aeolian rotor to produce clean energy has been accomplished.
The results of the research conducted have been used to build heat shields for rocket launcher.
In order to develop in depth knowledge in this research field, a highly strategic one for sectorial innovation, two new experimental labs have been launched. The study of this new generation of composite materials has already found applications in the production of materials and handiworks for the naval industry and in the manufacturing of Stealth Shields. An important achievement in this field has been obtained through the patent of a new composite material: EPREG UD 52.

“One method to produce electrically conductive composite handiworks, one which gets to connect such handiworks, specifically inside a shielding container against electromagnetic radiation”.
It describes the process involved in the production of rigid layered composite handiworks in polymer matrix that are electrically conductive; furthermore, it deals with the creation of junctions connecting all these elements inside conductive casings shielding against electromagnetic radiation, according to the Faraday Cage Principle.

It describes the process involved in the production of semi finished components (for example prepregs and syntactic foams) based on two independently carried out polymerization processes.
Nuova Connavi Exclusive Dealings
The Arsenal of the Navy has deemed suitable for its own naval units only the PRVF boxes for backup spare pieces built by Nuova Connavi. Nuova Connavi produces the unique Stealth shields for OTO MELARA cannons 127/54, adopting the same technique used for cannon 76/62 (epoxy pre-preg and an epoxy based syntactic foam core). Nuova Connavi is the only company to be able to design and produce capsules for launch charges of 127/54 gun, successfully tested at Mariperman in La Spezia (Standing Committee for trials on war materials).
